Dr Louisa Waites
Based at Fonthill House Dr Waites (pictured top right) responds quickly when our residents need to see a GP.
Our nurses communicate daily with Dr Waites in order to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic health concerns. This proactive approach helps to maintain residents’ wellbeing and allow early detection of illnesses that may lead to unnecessary hospital admissions if treatment were delayed.
Medication reviews, health assessments and psychological support are regularly combined to manage both physical and mental long term conditions, adapting care to the individual as change occurs.
Dr Waites’ particular passion and interest is in palliative and end of life care. The Fonthill multidisciplinary team work closely together to provide compassionate & holistic care as people approach this phase in what can be an uncertain time for residents and families.
