Day Carer and Night Carer vacancies available.

Full time – 12hour shifts,
Working an average of 42hours a week over a 2 week rota, including every other weekend.

£8.25 per hour for Day Care Assistant
£8.75 per hour for Night Care Assistant

Fonthill House is a new, luxury 64 bedroom care home with coffee shop, located in St Albans, Hertfordshire. We are now looking for outstanding people to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a fantastic attitude to care work.

You will work with all types of residents receiving direct care. Your duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the resident but can include:

  • Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living.
  • Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring residents retain their comfort and dignity.
  • Paying particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
  • Closely monitoring residents who may be confused.
  • Assisting in the promotion of continence.
  • Assisting in the delivery of care for residents who are dying or who have a progressive illness.
  • Assisting with Last Offices.
  • Observing care planning needs for residents and completing daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in framework of social activities by interacting with residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Home.
  • Answering nurse call system and giving assistance as required. Answering the door and telephone appropriately. Responding accordingly, and passing on messages promptly.

COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Location: St Albans & Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Salary for Community care: £20.00 per visit – each visit is an hour in duration.

Travel is paid when travelling between appointments

Fonthill House is a luxury 64 bedroom private nursing home which is located in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

We are currently looking for an experienced Domiciliary Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will be based within the home as well as visiting residents within their homes providing private care as per the individual’s care plan.

Community Care is a key part of your role in working for us. You will start and end your shift within Fonthill House and as per the needs and requirements of the community during your shift, you will be asked to assist with community care visiting people’s homes assisting with personal care. You are paid at a higher hourly rate for the hours worked when out in the community supporting elderly in their homes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a full UK clean driving license & vehicle

7.30am – 19.30pm and during these hours for the night – 19.30pm – 7.30am.

DOMICILIARY CARE ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Fonthill House are now recruiting for Full-Time Domiciliary Care Assistants.

Rate of Pay: £11.00 per hour, work travel expenses paid.

Your role will be to deliver front-line care support services to the company’s service users.

Job Duties:
Your duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the service user but can include;

  • Personal Care – from washing/bathing to supporting with eating, drinking and toileting. Assisting with dressing, supporting with exercises and other mobility needs. Personal Care may be required at any time of day or night
  • Practical Support – may involve duties such as washing up, monitoring of food and domestic cleaning – laundry, ironing etc. Occasional shopping duties may be required and other household management tasks.
  • Health-related duties – With the correct training and supervision, you may be responsible to administer medicines, assist with catheter care, bowel care, storma care, application of ointments .
  • Specialist Support- Potentially providing support to people with different needs such as learning difficulties or physical disabilities

NIGHT CARE ASSISTANT

£11 per hour for Night Care Assistant

You will work with all types of residents receiving direct care. Your duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the resident but can include:

  • Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living.
  • Assisting with putting residents to bed, and getting up in the mornings
  • Monitoring residents throughout the night, if and when required
  • Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring residents retain their comfort and dignity.
  • Paying particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
